Dr. Dean is a Board Certified Family Physician serving the Clark & Greene county areas. He was raised on a small farm in Wilmington and has lived in Ohio all of his life. Dr. Dean received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1996 from Wright State University and subsequently graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in June of 2000. He completed his Family Medicine Residency in his hometown of Wilmington, Ohio at Clinton Memorial Hospital in June of 2003. He moved to Enon, Ohio in September 2003 and established his family practice, Western Medicine, Inc.
In addition to providing comprehensive medical care services for his patients, Dr. Dean developed an interest in acupuncture, completing both phase I and phase II of a comprehensive training course in November 2007 at the Academy of Pain Research in California. He currently practices Neuro-Acupuncture which offers a less chemically oriented approach to the healing of pain including migraine headaches, neuropathies, numbness and tingling. Acupuncture is also a great way to help patients stop smoking. Dr. Dean is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Ohio State Medical Association (OSMA).
Dr. Dean married his wife, Eileen in 2002. They have three boys, Aden, Ethan and Ian. Besides spending time with his family, Dr. Dean is an outdoors enthusiast enjoying fishing, boating and hunting.
